Cochin: The Gateway to Kerala!


Cochin is the colonial name of Kochi. This is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of Kerala and is known for its striking beauty and tourism. It is often called the Gateway of Kerala. Different people from places like Arab, Britain, China, Portugal and others have left indelible marks in this place.

Over the years it has emerged as the industrial capital of the State Kerala and it is a very important port city in the west coast of India after Mumbai (Bombay). Fort Kochi beach and Cherai Beach: The two beaches of Cochin are ideal for enjoying the golden sand and refreshing sea waters.
